2017 has been a busy year for the Experience Invest team. The sell-out success of our first London-commuter belt project kick-started the year and, since then, we have witnessed a record breaking number of transactions.

Brexit and property
In a time when Brexit continues to make the headlines, UK property remains highly sought after by investors.

Throughout the last 12 months, our investors have also been keen to diversify their portfolios, with UK student property, commercial and hotel investments ranking high on wish lists.
Changes to Stamp Duty Land Tax on second homes and buy-to-let properties have forced many investors to reassess their property portfolio in 2017.
Assets like purpose-built student property and commercial property, which have a lower level Stamp Duty rate than residential buy-to-let property, have allowed investors to continue to generate a stable income from UK property.

Favourable exchange rates for overseas buyers
To answer to the rising demand for UK property from overseas clients, the Experience Invest team has also attended events overseas and have met clients in Dubai and Kuwait.
In September, the Experience Invest team attended Cityscape Dubai where we officially unveiled the video for our iconic waterfront development, Infinity Waters. Overseas investors at the show were particularly interested in the high returns generated by the UK’s student property sector, with many buyers taking an active interest Liverpool.
After attending the show, the demand for UK property was clear and with so many clients based overseas, Experience Invest arranged an exclusive client meeting in Kuwait.
Held over two days, the event allowed the team to engage with existing clients and to meet people who are interested in learning more about the UK’s property market.
